That was the date Spider-Man 4 was supposed to hit theaters. Sam Raimi directing, Tobey Maguire back in the suit, one more chapter before everything got rebooted. Then the whole thing fell apart. The film got cancelled, the franchise went a different direction, and that Friday just came and went like nothing happened.
